About

I’m Rebecca Furze Thomas, a writer, artist, and avid reader living along the Kent seafront with my husband and our three beloved guinea pigs. Creativity has always been at the heart of my world—whether through drawing, painting, or, most of all, writing.

My love for storytelling began when I was just eight years old. Encouraged by my teachers to copy well-known poetry for handwriting practice, I soon discovered that, while my penmanship remained questionable, my passion for poetry was undeniable. What started as simple verses shared with classmates evolved into something much deeper—a way to capture moments, emotions, and reflections on life itself.

In March 2025, I published my debut book, A Collection, a 56-page anthology exploring love, joy, sorrow, and the intricate tapestry of human experiences. Through vivid imagery and heartfelt verse, I invite readers into my world, where poetry transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. From fleeting encounters at a bus stop to childhood memories in a sunlit garden, the beauty of nature, the power of music, and the ever-present reality of life and loss, each poem offers a window into shared emotions and universal truths.

I’m incredibly excited to share A Collection with you. You can find it at:
