From a man at a bus stop who has just found out his son is dead and also, childhood memories of walks in gardens to elements of nature, the strains of music, everyday occurrences and finally the inevitability of death, the poet captures the essence of what it means to be human. After all, life is as much about the raw emotions as it is about their reflections.

Amazon customer – Grand collection of poems.
Excellent set of poems very beautifully written. There is a set of realism to all of the poems and I could relate with many of them. It brings back memories of when I was growing up and the times then. Some of the poems are heartfelt and emotional. I especially like the poems “Listen”, “The Wind” & “England”.

In A Collection, Becca demonstrates an extraordinary command over language. Her ability to transform fleeting emotions into vivid, enduring imagery is a testament to her artistry. Amazon Customer – A Personal and Profound Journey
Becca’s work transcends traditional poetry by inviting us to share in her personal experiences and emotions. As you turn each page, you are not only witnessing her raw and unguarded reflections on life but are also encouraged to reconnect with your own experiences. Her verses capture moments of profound loss—a man at a bus stop learning of his son’s passing—juxtaposed against the gentle reminiscence of childhood walks in serene gardens. This seamless blend of grief and nostalgia, coupled with vibrant portrayals of everyday moments, speaks to the universal human experience in a way that is both deeply personal and remarkably relatable.

Amazon Customer – Thoroughly loved the book
I thoroughly loved the book. The opening poem, ‘Prose Poem’, struck me immediately with its subtle yet powerful narrative about a man grappling with unexpected loss, Becca writes without overt sentiment, leaving space for personal interpretation and deep connection. In ‘The Music of Sussex’, she elegantly reflects on the town of East Grinstead in West Sussex, drawing on her personal roots with grace and authenticity. ‘Graves of the Undead’ moves with a quiet intensity as it speaks of soldiers resting in unmarked graves far from their homelands, while ‘Just for the Record’ captivates with its final inspiration from the First Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians. I was particularly touched by ‘Six O’Clock News’, which portrays the contrasting perspectives of two girls, one from Al-Araqib and the other from Israel, highlighting the power of poetry as they process the stark reality of bombings and deaths. The poems ‘So Bad’ and ‘Cold’ offer raw and honest reflections on depression and hope, illustrating how small moments of light can emerge from darkness. Along with other beautifully crafted pieces such as ‘The Wind’, ‘Listen’, ‘Betrayal’, ‘The Garden’, ‘Window’, ‘Home’, ‘The Rose’, ‘England’, ‘Sunset’, and ‘Death’, and many more, this collection is a treasure trove of insightful, moving verses that resonate deeply with the reader.
I will recommend this book of poems to anyone who appreciates a heartfelt exploration of life’s multifaceted emotions. If you enjoy reflective, evocative poetry that delves into both the beauty and the pain of human experience, then this collection is an absolute must-read.
